Catalina Villalobos Sanchez

CATALINA SANCHEZ
Born on April 30, 1941, Catalina Sanchez died on June 16, 2014. Originally from Michoacan, Mexico, she came to live in Fortuna with her husband in 1959. Here they raised their children and became active members of the community. Mrs. Sanchez was a pillar of strength, a champion of hope and good health and an example to all.
She was predeceased in life by her loving husband, Salvador Sanchez, her parents and many siblings. Over 23 years ago, Mrs. Sanchez was diagnosed and survived Leukemia, and lived a strong and healthy life as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all.
Her family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her five loving children and their spouses: Rafael (Melinda), Herminia (Ali), Cindy (Mark), Salvador (Maria) and Olga (Juan), as well as her grandchildren: Paul, Sarah, Arturo, Jaime, Beto, Sommer, Amanda, Steven, Nicolas, Andres, Sebastian and one great grandchild Andresito. It was especially meaningful that for the past several years she spent time living with each of her children until she died.
Friends are invited to attend the Rosary on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Gobles Mortuary in Fortuna. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Fortuna. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to all family and friends for the love, care and support of their beloved mother throughout her life.
