Christopher Ray Chism

Born November 5, 1952 passed away on August 16, 2013 at the age of 60.
Chris is survived by his sister Betty (Lester) Phelps and brothers Dennis Chism and David Chism. Sister-in-laws Rita Chism, Sharon Chism and special cousin Deanna Pullen.
He is also survived by his nephews and nieces; Travis (Rachel) Phelps and children, Riley and Anderson; Marcy (Matt) Kelley and children Hunter and Emma; Kristie (David) Ray and children Kalib and Brice; Jennie (Lucas) Titus and children Trent, Tristen and Taren; Julie (Gabe) Hagemann and children Macie and Madison; Jeff (Sarah) Chism; Jesse (Amanda) Bice and children Madison and Evelyn; Jennifer Bice and Cassi Chism; and many friends in San Francisco.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Evelyn Chism; Brother William Chism; nephew Barry Phelps; and sister-in-law Eileen Chism.
Chris graduated from Fortuna High School in 1971, upon graduation he relocated to the Bay Area. Chris worked at several restaurants; Star's, A. Sabellas and Lark Creek all in San Francisco.
Chris was one of a kind. Family and friends were drawn to his loving, feisty and ornery personality. He knew how to make people laugh. Every family gathering was entertaining when he was around. You never knew what he was going to do, say or bring. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his dog Sable.
