Clifford L Giacomini
December 7, 1947 – March 28, 2014
Cliff lived in Ferndale and Fortuna all of his life. Cliff was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in Korea for three years. He was a meat cutter at Safeway for many years and also worked at Pacific Lumber Company.
He loved woodworking and was well known for donating his birdhouses to charitable causes. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and active in St Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was also a volunteer fire fighter.
Cliff is survived by his wife Dorothy; his daughter Sherry; his two grandchildren Paloma and Lila; brothers Mike and Gary; son-in-law Glenn Overstreet and his Rottweiler Faran.
Cliff had a playful and loving nature and a kind and generous heart. He was beloved by his family and friends who will miss him greatly.
There will be a rosary service for Cliff on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 14th & N Street, Fortuna, California and a Mass of Christian Burial for Cliff will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 10:00 A.M. also at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Arrangements are under the care of Goble’s Fortuna Mortuary.
