Connie Zavas
On Friday, August 15, 2014, Connie Zavas entered into Heaven after a short battle with COPD. Born on February, 13, 1922 in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. She came to California in October, 1927 with her parents. She met and married George Zavas in 1940. She is survived by her Daughter Pamela, Sister Phyllis Welch of Helendale, California and Nephews Dennis (Laura), Alan (Janella) and Larry (Vicki), also her brother-in-law Jim Zavas and his family. After retirement, they moved from Anaheim, California to Carlotta and purchased Swains Flat Market. It was re-named George and Connies, known for homemade pie and a 25 cent cup of coffee. She will be missed by all who knew her. Burial took place in Fortuna, California, next to her husband George.
Arrangements were under the care of Gobles Fortuna Mortuary.
