Eva Fry Eva was born on August 19, 1920 in Pendleton, Oregon and was taken up to be with our Lord Jesus on December 2, 2014. Eva is survived by her oldest son Ben Otis Murphy and dear friend Imogene DeWarns as well as many close friends in her neighborhood at Royal Crest Mobile Estates and at the Hydesville Community Church. Eva was preceded in death by her younger son John Jay Murphy, her first husband Otis Junior Murphy and her second husband Arnold Alan Fry. Eva lived a very unique life and had many experiences. She was raised by a variety of family members and lived in places like Salem, Valdez, Sweet Home, Mollala, Klamath Falls Pendleton, Oregon to Hoopa, Happy Camp, Scotia, Pepperwood, Fortuna, San Anselmo, California to Sitka, Rodman Bay, Juneau and Anchorage, Alaska. Eva lived through a typhoon on a ship in the south China seas. Eva was living in Anchorage, Alaska working for the Post Office in March 1964 when an 8.4 Richter scale earthquake hit Alaska. Eva loved to travel and she and her husband Arnold were able to visit all but two of the fifty states in the United States in their motor home. Eva has been to the San Juan Islands, Virgin Islands, Hawaiian Islands, Key West Florida, Eastern Canada, Spain, France, Italy, Egypt, Malta, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey. The most important decision Eva made was when she was living with her Aunt Barbara in Oregon. Eva was attending church with her Aunt Barbara and three children when Eva put her complete faith and trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was very active in church--singing in the choir, volunteering and helping in the church library. A tragic event took place when Eva was young that caused her to stop attending church and it wasn't until she was 79 years old that she came back to the Lord. When Eva came back to her childhood faith in Christ she became very active in serving the Lord. Eva was a very kind and generous person. Her home was open to so many people and occasions from prayer meetings to bible studies. She served at the church on the power point team, church library, and helping catalog Pastor Mike's library. She gave of herself and her resources generously and graciously. Eva was a loving kind person who touched many lives. A memorial service will be held for Eva on Saturday, December 13th at 11:00am at the Hydesville Community Church. Please come and celebrate with us Eva's life and her love for the Lord. Donations can be made to Mountain of Mercy, Beta Zeta Sorority or the Hydesville Community Church.
