Irene passed away January, 11, 2014 in Fortuna, CA. She is survived by her son Gerald, daughter Deborah (Richard), granddaughter Rachel and other family out of the area. She is preceded in death by Joseph Les, son Robert and infant son and parents.
Irene was brave, strong, opinionated, and cared deeply about those around her. There are many things about her that will be remembered, and memories that will always be cherished. However, she wanted this to be short, sweet, and to the point.
Irene touched the lives of many, and those who were close to her would not be the people they are today without her support and encouragement. She will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Irene will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM at Gobles Fortuna Mortuary, 560 12th Street, Fortuna, CA. A committal service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the chapel of Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka, CA. at 2:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the care of Gobles Fortuna Mortuary.
