Janet Marie Quinn

Janet Marie Quinn My dear sister Janet Marie Quinn passed away today, June 20, 2014. She was the daughter of Ira N. Quinn and Frances E. Quinn both preceded her in death. Our parents brought us to Humboldt County in late 1949 early 1950. We both helped build the family home in which she resided before her death. She attended local schools. Her grammar school class was the last to graduate from the old Hydesville School which stood on the site of the present day Hydesville Fire Department. While in grammar school, she could out run and bat better than most all the boys. She attended Fortuna Union High School and excelled in sports. She worked at hard physical labor much of her life and as the years advanced her body felt the long term affects. This never stopped her from doing what she wanted. She has requested no memorial service. She has requested instead that in her memory to commit an unselfish act of kindness for a stranger or a loved one just because... Thank you, Newton C. Quinn.
