Linda Marie Brown

Linda Marie Brown, age 62, died in Fortuna on July 28, 2013 after a brief illness.
Born December 1, 1950 in Santa Rosa, Ca to Maynard and Ellen Peters, she graduated from Fortuna High in 1969. she also attended College of the Redwoods, Humboldt State University and University of Portland where she met her husband Arthur Eugene Brown.
Linda worked for Seaview Convalescent Home for over twenty years.
Linda was a dedicated member of the Fortuna Methodist church and spent countless hours reaching out to the home bound and ill members of the flock as well as grief counseling for those that had lost loved ones. She also was involved in the choir.
Linda is survived by her daughter Cheri and husband Rodney Arata of Rio Dell, Ca., granddaughters Kysha and Zowee Dunkin. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Gene Brown, parents Maynard and Ellen Peters and her brother Leslie Peters.
Services will be held at Gobles Fortuna Mortuary 560 12th st Fortuna on Friday August 2, 2013 at 2pm. Interment will be at Oceanview Cemetery.
