Michael William DalPorto

Resident of Carlotta, CA passed away on October 11, 2011 due to an automobile accident with friend and neighbor John Harvey, who also passed.

Mike was born March 4, 1985. In his short 26 years, Mike became a very intelligent, hard working young man. He was employed the last six years with Aqua Dam, Inc., where he was the lead water technician, shop mechanic and excellent equipment operator. Mike could fix anything that was broken and drive anything that moved. Mike traveled the country installing AQUADAMS and making friends as he went. He earned the nickname “AQUAMIKE”. He had a gentle touch and a gentle heart.

Mike loved to go motorcycle riding, jet-skiing and do anything that gave the “adrenaline rush”. But most of all, Mike loved his Family and Friends. Mike was a caring and wonderful father, who spent every spare second with his son Dominick. Mike was a shining example of morals and ethics and showed it whether it was teaching Dominick to ride a bicycle, quad, motorcycle or just a fun day at the river. Mike was a perfect father, a wonderful son and a great friend to many, many people.

Mike leaves behind his loving wife Brittani Dal Porto and his precious 6 year old son Dominick Dal Porto. He also leaves behind his father Daniel Dal Porto and wife Terry. His mother Tracey Roche-Clark and stepfather Greg Clark. Sister Amber Dal Porto and brothers Tim and Andy Dal Porto. Niece Aireanna Pamela Dal Porto and Nephew Toby Gordon Dal Porto, Paternal Grandparents Mike and Joan Dal Porto, Great Grandmother Lena Dal Porto, his Maternal Grandparents Tim and Joy Roche, his Uncle Dan Roche, Mother and Father-In-Laws Brenda Kolesar and Will Saltekoff and Grandparent-In-Laws Orleada and Fredrick Noley Morris.

Mike is preceded in death by his grandfather Nelo Dal Porto and his firstborn son Jeremiah Dal Porto, who passed into the arms of the lord as just an infant. On October 11, 2011 they were reunited in Heaven.

Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his warm smile. He was a great young man. This world was lucky to have him 26 years.

WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU!!! Memorial services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1690 Janes Road, Arcata on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the care of Goble’s Fortuna Mortuary.
