Pearl Elizabeth Frey

Pearl passed away at 101 years old. Pearl was a flower lady, an Orchid Society member, a retired florist, a member of Eastern Star, a Matron in Jobs Daughters, a Camp Fire Girls leader, a member of many sewing clubs and Good Sams Club. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing, camping, clamming and attending San Francisco Giants games.
Pearl was born in Stockton and raised in Modesto, California. She met Leslie Curtis Frey in Modesto, where they were married, moving to Eureka in the early nineteen thirtys. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Leslie (Curtis) and daughter Judith (Judy Hatch).
Pearl is survived by her loving daughter Janice Goostree (John) of Kelseyville, six grandchildren; Karen (Steve) Kutzli of Ohio, Kelly (Joe) Smith of Vacaville, California, John L. Goostree of Stewarts Point, California, Kathy (Randy) Matteo of Hawaii, David (Chris) Hatch of San Diego, California, Brian (Suzanne) Hatch of Washington, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 16th and L streets, Fortuna, California, at 2:00 PM on June 2, 2014, with Reverend Jeri Gray-Reneberg officiating.
The family requests that donations in Pearls honor be given to your favorite charity. Arrangements are under the care of Gobles Fortuna Mortuary, 560 12th street, Fortuna, California.
