Rafael Clyde Wantt

Rafael "Ralph" Clyde Wantt Ralph was born Feb. 18, 1937 to Albert & Rafaella Wantt in Covelo, Ca., and passed away Jan. 03, 2015 at home with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his wife Beverley of 48 years, son Albert (Cindy) Wantt, daughter Audreena Wantt (Roger Hall), grandchildren Audrey Jean Hall, Dustin (Bonnie) Wantt, Westlee Wantt (Vanessa Halley) and Shylo Wantt; four great- grandkids Kyden, Macey, Bentlee & Willow; sisters Nada Stillwell, Donna Stillwell; brother Adrian (Lizabeth) Wantt, Uncle Claude Hoaglin and numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph went to school in Nashmead, Ca. then left to serve our country in the U.S. Army. After the Army he moved to Alderpoint to start working in the Pine Mill and from there he went to work for L.P. sawmill where he worked until he retired. In his early years he loved bowling, golfing, fishing and hunting. He was at every basketball game watching his granddaughter Shylo. Sports was something he really cared about. In his later years he would go to the casino and try his luck. A special thanks to Jill & Suzanne (Hospice), Michael & Carolyn Eldridge, Traci Speelman, Uncle Claude Hoaglin, Tom Davidson, Shannon Stillwell, and all the family and friends who have brought food, drinks and support. We wouldn't have made it without you all. We will miss his wittiness, teasing and love. Till we meet again...see ya later. Friends and family are all invited to visitation and viewing at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary, 560 12th St. Fortuna, Ca. on Friday January 9, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a graveside service to be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Covelo, Ca. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
