After Bob was discharged, he settled in the Napa, CA area where he met and married his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Diana Bradd. He spent his early years working mostly in the Construction and Commercial Fishing Industries.
In 1969, he moved his family to Fortuna, CA where he began his millwrighting career and twenty-eight years later in 1998, he retired from his position as Head Millwright for Eel River Saw Mills. He was a man with many talents and abilities and always willing to help others.

Some of Bobs happiest moments were spent either in the ocean fishing or going hunting with his family members. Boy he loved to fish! But as much as he loved to fish, he loved his family and friends more and was well liked by everyone he met. Forever in our hearts we will remember his touch that was so soft and his smile that was so was warm.
Arrangements are under the care of Gobles Fortuna Mortuary.
