Shari Ruth Kelley Haskins
Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grammy, Aunt, Friend, Teacher, Librarian--A woman for all seasons left this world for another on February 8, 2026, surrounded by love in her new home in Fortuna, CA, after a long life in her beloved Wyoming. Shari empowered women through reading and encouragement to run for office, apply for jobs, create art, and find their voice. She spent her life fighting for free access of knowledge in all the forms that knowledge takes.
Shari Haskins was born November 11, 1958, to Jean Kelley and Paul Shaw in Lincoln, NE. She moved to Sidney where she graduated high school in 1978 alongside her sister, Paula Wolff. She continued her education at the university of Wyoming in Laramie where she met her husband, Mark. They were wed August 1, 1980. Shari and Mark Started their teaching careers together at the Rocky Mountain School District. They expanded their family with two extraordinary children, Hillary Jean and Rudi Mansfield. They settled in life in Lander Wyoming where they continued to impact their communities with knowledge and chaos. She retired as the director of the Riverton library in 2024 where she loved caring for her community of readers. She would go above and beyond finding books from across the nation for anyone wanting to expand their knowledge; ordering pizzas for young adults so they had a safe haven in the library. Shari's proudest name was Grammy. She found true joy being a part of her granddaughters lives.
Shari is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mark Haskins, Daughter Hillary Jean Haskins, her granddaughters, Adri, Lola, and Ripley. Her sisters Denise(Richard) Barto, Paula (Steve) Wolff, Debbie Kelley (Randy), and Monica Kelley(Steve). Many nieces and nephews along with Great friends.
She is reunited with her son Rudi Mansfield Haskins, Parents Jean Kelley, Bill Kelley, and Paul Shaw, Brother in law John Haskins.
