Terri Richelle (Griswold) Steed

Terri took her journey to the Happy Hunting Grounds too soon. She was born at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA on September 13, 1985 and passed away on September 6, 2018. She moved to Humboldt County when she was 2, where she was raised by her grandparents, Lionell Carroll, Sr. and Mary (Roberts) Carroll.

Terri will be remembered by her sense of humor. She enjoyed cracking jokes and being sarcastic. She had an unforgettable, uncanny aim! She had a love for softball, volleyball, and basketball. Her favorite team was the Atlanta Braves. Terri’s favorite hobbies included gardening, fishing, hunting and 4x4ing. She loved to listen to rap music. The loves of her life were her 3 sons: Travis “Bubba” Steed, Hyro Thomas, and Hawkan Thomas.

Terri is survived by her father, Robert Griswold; brother, Clint Smith; significant other, Elijah Thomas; and her 3 sons: Travis “Bubba” Steed, Hyro Thomas, and Hawkan Thomas. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lionell Carroll, Sr. and Mary (Roberts) Carroll; mother, Marianne Smith; aunt, Maralyn “Bergie” George; uncle, Lawrence Carroll; sister, Jessica Griswold; and too many cousins to name.

Terri will be missed by many. Please come pay your respects to Terri at Gobles Fortuna Mortuary (560 12th Street, Fortuna) on Friday, September 14, 2018. There will be a viewing from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. and a Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M.
