Theodore Walker Obituary

Ted R Walker 91, passed away on May 12th in his home with loved ones.
He was a native of Enid Oklahoma, born on January 27, 1923 to Lilly and John Walker.
In the late 1930s Ted moved to California to the Los Angeles area, where he found work in the ship yards. At that time he was drafted into the Army to serve his country in WWII. When discharged, he returned back to the L.A area to work for Shell Oil in the refineries. Shortly after Ted found his calling, he could sell a Kirby Vacuum cleaner to even the most skeptical person. He worked selling vacuums until he took over the distributorship. Around this time he met his wife and soul mate, Susan Walker. He ran his own shop in Torrance until making the decision to move his family out of the city.
In 1978 He moved to Loleta, where he played an active part in the community. He was a member of the Loleta Community church, a member of the Loleta Volunteer Fire department, a board member on the Water Board, as well as being President of the Chamber of Commerce. Ted enjoyed trips to Fort Bragg with Friends and family and also enjoyed weekend getaways with his wife Susan. He loved using his hands, either in his woodshop or learning new skills by taking classes at CR. He got the most comfort spending time with family. Ted (AKA) Pa Ted was a hard working family man and will be deeply missed by anyone who ever had the privilege of meeting him.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents Lilly and John, as well as his wife and the love of his life Susan Walker. He is survived by his children Terriel and wife Annette Walker, Tracy Walker, Sean Walker and Tamma Walker. He is also survived by an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, too many to list.
At Teds request, there will be no services held.
Arrangements are under the care of Gobles Fortuna Mortuary.
